The South Flores Community 

The South Flores Community is a Facebook page we started in order to develop community projects and give community members access to important resources.

 

Our goal is to build a team of students that manage this page. We want to give students the opportunity to enhance their skills while helping their community.

We create content and share other content that informs community members about items such as food drives, major developments in the community, helpful apps, etc 

​

One of our first community projects was to put up a street light. We canvased the community in order to get feedback from the community as well as signatures for a petition that asks the city to put up the street light. Our request was denied so we instead raised funds to buy a solar panel and install on ourselves!
